Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha also known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a popular British film and stage actress which gained more attention when she appeared in the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) The show aired on BBC channel. Gugu scored a huge hit in this series, playing Tish Jones. Tish is the sister of Martha Jones. Gugu had a bright and vivacious personality, which was loved by the public. She would have been able to have a successful career an actor, if she did not give up! Her other stage and TV productions in the UK include a variety of different productions. Her work has been highly praised by critics for her role on "Belle" (2013), an English period drama, and "Beyond the Lights" which is a romantic comedy. The actress also appeared on American productions on television, including "Undercover" an Tom Hanks comedic movie, and the series "Touch". Gugu mbatha-Raw played a character in Jessica Swale's"Nell Gwynn" play which is a character who doubles as an actress and lover of the King of England and Scotland. The performance was highly praised by critics who complimented her on her talent. She was awarded the Evening Standard Theatre Award as the Best Actress. For the great honour of her contributions to drama, Gugu was appointed to be a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II.
Chelsea Joy Handler was conceived on February 25, 75 at Livingston New Jersey. She was the eldest child from a family of six. Handler was the daughter of a car salesman as well as a domestic worker. Her mother was born in Germany and immigrated into America. United States as a young woman in 1958. Her diagnosis was breast cancer in 1989 and passed away after fighting cancer for 10 years. Handler's father was Jewish and she was brought up in Reform Judaism. Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy childhood living in a posh neighborhood. When she was in her early 20s Handler moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue acting. Handler started performing to earn income. But, at age 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession because she realized her story telling talents. Her career began as an actress in a cast of all females on the Oxygen channel's reality TV series Girls acting in a way that was terribly. The show featured an amalgamation of hidden cameras as well as humorous jokes. The show ran on air from 2002 to 2005. The handler started appearing on different shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler also began working as the correspondent on The Tonight Show. The biggest break for Handler was in 2006 when she was able to host her own program on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran for 2 seasons. Handler performed at the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States the year after. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up show. The announcement was made in 2010 that she was to host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. She became only the second female host of the VMAs after Roseanne Bar.
